TALES, from the Iliad and other sources, of the Siege and Fall of Troy.

Tales from the Odyssey. The Adventures of Odysseus.

Tales from Herodotus, the "Father of History," being stories of the Greeks and Persians. Alexander the Great.

A Persian story from the "Arabian Nights."

Stories from Roman history. Romulus and Remus, Horatius, Hannibal &c. Julius Caesar and his visit to Britain.

The Story of Jesus and His place in History. The beginning of Christianity.

Roman Rule in Britain. Caractacus, Boadicea.

Christianity comes to Britain through the Romans. St Augustine.

Tales of Christian Knights. King Arthur and the Round Table.

Stories from Froissart. Charlemagne, Roland and Oliver, fighting against the heathen.

The coming of the Northmen. Story of St. Edmund.

Tales from the Eddas and Sagas of the Northmen.

This is a year's syllabus, and a lesson, in the form of a vividly written story, will appear once a week.
